Teisha Brown, MA, LPC
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. You might be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or exhausted from holding everything together on your own. Maybe past experiences still affect your relationships, your confidence, or how you feel day to day. Or maybe you just know something isn’t working, but you’re not sure where to start. You don’t have to figure it out alone.
I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to make sense of your experiences at your own pace. My goal is to help you feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to explore, and empowered enough to create meaningful change.
I work with adults and adolescents who are navigating trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, identity questions, and major life transitions. I also support clients who struggle with attachment and abandonment wounds, emotional disconnection, substance use concerns, or patterns that keep showing up in relationships.
I understand that culture, family dynamics, and lived experiences shape how we see ourselves and the world, and I approach therapy with sensitivity to the whole person- not just the symptoms. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. Together, we’ll explore how past experiences and relationship patterns may be influencing your present, while also building tools to help you cope, communicate, and feel more grounded in your daily life. I draw from trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, CBT, ACT, relational therapy, and insight-oriented work, tailoring the process to your unique needs.
Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you understand yourself, heal what’s been weighing on you, and move toward a life that feels more connected, balanced, and authentic.
If you’re ready to start this work, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
